Yoga in its original form was designed to be therapeutic and conducted one-on-one, so the term “Yoga Therapy” is almost redundant. However, when the physical aspect of the practice was introduced in the West, the therapeutic value became distilled by our inherently over-achieving society and culture. An experienced Yoga Therapist adapts traditional postures and breathing techniques to the idiosyncratic needs of the individual, with the goal of addressing persistent health problems and injury or simply as preventive care.
